About the IAPP

Tanya M. Richardson is Senior Counsel, Privacy and Cybersecurity at Uber. Ms. Richardson was previously Senior Counsel for Privacy and Data Security at Postmates. In prior roles, Ms. Richardson served as Vice President and General Counsel at a global cybersecurity firm and as a Legal Director at Kite Pharma, now a Gilead company.

Ms. Richardson is a member of the Education Advisory Board of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and also serves as a volunteer for organizations promoting the advancement of women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. She is a designated IAPP Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP), maintains CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPP/C, CIPM, and CIPT IAPP certifications, and is an ISACA Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE).

Ms. Richardson is based in San Francisco, California. She is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University and the University of Illinois College of Law.
