About the IAPP

Oommen Thomas is an accomplished senior IT professional with a rapidly progressive career of around 3 decades (recent 18 years with Infosys Ltd.). As part of the Infosys Cyber Security Practice, Oommen currently manages GTM strategy for their industry leading offerings / solutions for global customers in the space of Cybersecurity, Governance/Risk/Compliance and Data Privacy.

Over the years, he has handled the integrated management and governance of global engagements in Cloud/Infrastructure/Security (apart from other IT domains) involving innovation, transformation, operations, across diverse industry verticals and geographies.

Oommen is an efficient leader skilled in building, guiding and leading high-performance diverse teams, towards developing and executing organization capabilities, and achievement of long- & short-term goals and stakeholder expectations, coupled with an ability to manage multiple high-stakes initiatives in a global environment.

A champion of diversity, he has mentored colleagues coming from diverse backgrounds into becoming effective managers & leaders.

Oommen is adept in fostering collaboration, empowering performance & driving excellence across business domains for delivering results in a constantly evolving dynamic business environment often constrained by ambiguity, uncertainty, unpredictability and diverse perspectives across functions, geographies, and cultures.

A continuous learner and technology enthusiast, he engages with PMI, ISACA and IAPP, and his certifications include PMP, ITIL, TOGAF, CGEIT, CRISC, CISM, CPISI, CSX-P, DP/GDPR-LI, ISO27001-LA, CIPP/E and CIPM. He currently volunteers as the Co-Chair of the IAPP KnowledgeNet Chapter of Pune, India.
