Principal, America’s Information Governance Leader

Glen E. Day is a Principal in the Assurance Services practice of Ernst & Young LLP and the America’s Information Governance Leader. He has a strong emphasis on intellectual property protection and other high-value information assets. Glen was previously the Cyber Security Leader for Technology and Healthcare with over twenty years of experience consulting with and working in various industries. Previously, as a Principal with Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc., he led the firm’s cyber security and privacy services for commercial healthcare and co-led its commercial opportunities in Financial Services. Glen also served as Los Angeles County’s first Chief Privacy Officer, CEO for a data encryption/public key infrastructure (PKI) company, and as an executive with Accenture’s Network Solutions Group. He is a retired Navy Commander with a specialty in Information Warfare. Glen's areas of expertise include information governance; cyber security; information privacy; data classification/information management; intellectual property protection; ISO 27001/2 security program assessments; identity and access management; cyber security analytics; data loss prevention; and enterprise encryption.

He has expert knowledge in HIPAA and the recent HITECH mandates for securing patients’ protected health information.
