About the IAPP

Dr. Daniel Schatz currently leads QIAGEN's global Information Security program as the Global Head of Cyber Security based in Germany. Previously, he was the CISO for DAZN and Perform Group (UK) where he built the Information Security function and led the global Threat & Vulnerability Management program for Thomson Reuters. He was one of the organisers of the popular Security Bsides London conference and volunteers as advisory board member to further the security and data protection profession.

He is a Chartered Security Professional (CSyP), full member of the Chartered Institute of Information Security, member of the International Systems Security Association (ISSA) and holds several qualifications including CIPP/E, CIPM, CISSP, CISM, CCSK, CVSE, MCITP-EA, ISO27001 LA/LI. He received his MSc Information Security & Computer Forensics from the University of East London, where he also completed his PhD focusing on the Economics of Information Security.
