Ferdinando Bruno is qualified as Avvocato in Italy and as Solicitor in England and Wales and is a privacy and data protection expert, currently carrying on a PhD at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) with Paul de Hert as promoter and under supervision of Vagelis Papakonstantinou. His research focuses on banks and financial institutions, digital identity, machine learning, behavior monitoring, privacy, data protection and cybersecurity. He attended the course for Maastricht University Professional Diploma on Privacy Management European Centre on Privacy and Cybersecurity (ECPC) of Maastricht University – where he also got the Data Protection Officer (DPO) Certificate, and he holds a Master for Privacy Officer and Privacy Consultant from Federprivacy, Italy.

 

He also holds a law degree, a Master Degree (diploma di specializzazione) in EC Law and Economy and a PhD in Economic Law from the University Federico II of Naples, an LL.M. degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), an Executive MBA (EMBA) from the Politecnico of Milan, a specialized master in Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) from the Bocconi University, an International Practice Diploma in International Capital Markets and Loans and an International Practice Diploma in International Mergers and Acquisitions from the College of Law of England and Wales, London/International Bar Association (IBA), a postgraduate diploma in EC Competition Law from the King’s College of London, a certificate in international private and public law from the Hague Academy of International Law and a certificate in Banking and Finance from the London Guildhall University.
