Parker Smith, CIPP/US
Parker Smith is an associate attorney at Stone Pigman Walther Wittmann LLC in New Orleans, LA. He concentrates his practice in the areas of intellectual property, technology and commercial transactions. He also advises clients on a wide range of data security and privacy matters. He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional for the U.S. Private Sector (CIPP/US) and serves as the Co-Chair for the New Orleans IAPP KnowledgeNet Chapter.
Parker is also the Chair of the Technology Law Committee of the New Orleans Bar Association and is a member of the Intellectual Property Law Section of the American Bar Association and the Association for Corporate Growth.
Parker received his J.D. and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Louisiana State University, where he was inducted into the Order of the Coif and served as the Managing Editor of the Louisiana Law Review. Prior to law school, Parker taught middle school math, science and social studies through the Teach For America program in the Greater New Orleans Area. He also received a B.S. in Economics and B.A. in Philosophy and Political Science from Tulane University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa.
