About the IAPP

Cornelius Witt is a senior manager for public policy and privacy at SCOPE Europe, a Brussels-based Monitoring Body for Codes of Conduct under the GDPR. In this current role, he is responsible for regulatory analysis on data protection regulation and modern regulatory frameworks. Prior to joining SCOPE Europe, Cornelius worked for a globally leading provider of information and communication technology. Cornelius is a certified data protection officer, University of Maastricht, and holds a degree in political management, public policy and public administration, M.A., from the NRW School of Governance. He studied both in Germany and the United States at California State University and was a fellowship holder of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation scholarship program.
