Susan St. John, CIPM
Susan Youngflesh is the Associate General Counsel and Privacy Officer at the San Diego City Employees’ Retirement System in San Diego, California. As Privacy Officer, she is dedicated to building the retirement system’s privacy program, which includes developing and implementing privacy policies, procedures and practices; training employees on privacy related matters; reviewing and drafting contracts; and providing guidance on privacy and data protection issues. Susan is an experienced attorney and has served as a prosecutor, judicial legal staff, defense counsel for a nationwide insurance company, and has taught criminal justice at the undergraduate level.
Susan holds a J.D. degree from Santa Clara University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis on International Business, from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
