About the IAPP

I have worked in the field of data privacy and information governance for 17 years and started my career working at the Information Commissioners Officer before moving into local government law.  I have recently moved into financial services and I am currently working for a large financial services company.  I have a master’s degree in International Relations and am qualified as a lawyer working in the legal services department specialising in Information Law handling compliance with Data Protection & Freedom of Information.  I subsequently moved into insurance implementing the GDPR for a financial technology firm before moving to work for the general insurance arm of a large multinational financial services company.  I am passionate about data privacy and information governance and believe strongly that robust data privacy framework not only leads to improved outcomes for data subjects but also delivers real business improvements for organisations.
