Privacy Branch Chief

 

Kirsten Moncada is the Privacy Branch Chief for the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs in the Office of Management and Budget, Executive Office of the President. As Privacy Branch Chief, she leads OMB’s efforts to develop government wide privacy policies and is responsible for directing and managing the oversight of agency implementation of OMB privacy and related information policies under the Privacy Act of 1974 and the privacy provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, the E-Government Act of 2002, and the Federal Information Security Modernization Act of 2014. She also is responsible for directing the review of privacy aspects of agency regulations and coordinating agency and OMB positions on privacy and related information policy issues. Ms. Moncada also serves as the Chair of the Federal Privacy Council.



Prior to joining OMB, Ms. Moncada served as the Executive Director for Privacy and Disclosure at the Social Security Administration and as the Director of the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Office of Privacy and Civil Liberties.
