Sameena Habib, CIPP/E, CIPP/US
Sameena Habib is Senior Corporate Counsel & Director for Data Privacy, Security & IP at Panasonic Avionics Corporation (PAC), a Panasonic Corporation company focused on global in-flight entertainment. In her role, Sameena is lead attorney for data privacy and security counseling and compliance, intellectual property, and technology transactions, and also provides privacy guidance to Panasonic North America and Panasonic Corporation. Sameena counsels senior business leaders in privacy compliance involving digital transformation and data products, and partners with commercial, marketing, advertising, HR, procurement and other business and security departments to drive privacy by design and default principles across the company. She drafts company policies aligned with the latest privacy regulations, including the GDPR, CCPA, and equivalent legislation around the world.
Prior to joining Panasonic in-house, Sameena worked at law firms in Seattle, WA. She attended Stanford University where she completed her bachelor’s degree, graduating with Honors, and earned her law degree from University of California, Davis School of Law.
