About the IAPP

Bernadine has over 12 years of experience working in-house with tech companies in APAC providing product and privacy counselling. In her current role as Associate General Counsel with Airbnb in APAC, she leads a team that covers product and privacy, customer support, trust and safety, law enforcement, litigation and employment matters. Prior to that, she was Senior Legal Director at Yahoo where she was responsible for product and privacy for user-facing products as well as ad platform and analytics, among others. Before moving in-house, Bernadine worked in corporate finance and M&As at several law firms in Singapore and later at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Hong Kong, when she worked on the listing of Alibaba on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange which eventually led to her transition to tech.
