Juan Argueta, CIPP/E, CIPP/US
Juan (CIPP/E, CIPP/US) is Senior Privacy Counsel in SAP’s Global Data Protection and Privacy Office. Reporting to the Chief Privacy Officer, he handles escalations of customer negotiations globally, serves as the liaison to SAP’s Field Legal practice, and operational compliance to applicable privacy laws.
Prior to joining the Privacy Office, Juan negotiated complex multi-million-dollar SaaS, cloud, and software license agreements on the supplier side, becoming a shrewd yet collaborative negotiator. He also served as the data privacy champion for the Northeast United States, negotiating data processing agreements with US and European customers directly.
Juan graduated Cum Laude from Rutgers Law, and holds a B.S. in Secondary Education. With extensive experience living and travelling overseas in Latin America and Europe, Juan is keen to navigating multi-cultural environments and adept at negotiating the nuances of cultures and people.
