Alex Panos is an attorney in King & Spalding’s E-Discovery practice. He focuses primarily on pre-trial discovery and document-intensive matters, including product liability, toxic tort, and business litigation, as well as government investigations. Alex has extensive electronic discovery project management experience in both individual cases and class actions pending in state and federal courts around the country, with a particular expertise in managing e-discovery in large-scale, multi-jurisdictional litigation. He has extensive experience with pre-trial litigation issues dealing with the automotive, pharmaceutical, and oil & gas industries. Additionally, Alex has experience dealing with both data privacy and post-breach cybersecurity issues in litigation, including cross-border discovery, trade secrets, and data collection. 



Alex has data privacy certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (CIPP/E, CIPM), and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Bar Association’s Privacy & Cybersecurity Law section. He is also active in Atlanta community service, serving on both the Advisory Board for the Shepherd Center Foundation and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Georgia’s Big Climb Executive Committee.



Alex’s long-time interest in privacy began as a childhood fascination with secretive orders and organizations such as the Knights Templar, Freemasonry, and similar groups.
