Steve’s law practice is centered on advertising, marketing and branding. He supports startups with trademark strategy and IP management, and he works with brands, agencies and influencers on content syndication and sponsored content in print, broadcast, mobile and online media. Steve helps his M&A clients to confirm provenance and licensing for personal data included in transactions.
Steve earned the CIPP/E certification after two years working as in-house counsel for a global medical device company, where he developed guidelines to activate new branding strategies in European markets. Previously, Steve was an attorney at Honigman Miller Schwartz & Cohn. Before he turned to the law, Steve built ten years of experience doing strategic vendor management in government, healthcare, and technology.
Steve holds a JD from the University of Oregon School of Law and a B.S. in biology from the California Institute of Technology.
