Lead Global Policy Counsel, Cloud

Albert Sanders is Public Policy & Government Affairs Counsel for Google Cloud.  

 

Before joining Google, Albert was Associate Counsel to President Barack Obama at The White House, where he counseled President Obama and his senior advisers on cyber security, privacy, internal investigations, congressional oversight, and high stakes litigation. He previously worked as an attorney at the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, and the law firm of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld.  

 

A California native, Albert grew up between Compton and South Central L.A. He studied political science at Morehouse College and earned his J.D. at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He’s licensed to practice in California and Washington, D.C. Outside of work, Albert plays competitive USTA tennis, SCUBA dives, snowboards, and occasionally walks with gorillas in Rwanda.
