About the IAPP

Shannon Harmon is a licensed attorney and Information Governance Counsel for a leading global healthcare company.  Previously, she served as Information Governance lead and counsel to the Information Technology Department in the public sector.  Shannon's core focus is on championing innovative and impactful data and information use while ensuring information and data responsibility.  She is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School and Duke University.  She regularly writes and speaks on topics related to information governance, data responsibility, privacy, and change.
