Daniel Pepper is Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Comcast, in Philadelphia, PA, responsible for data privacy and security. Mr. Pepper has over 20 years of experience representing Fortune 500 companies in information technology, privacy and cybersecurity law. Prior to joining Comcast, Mr. Pepper served as Assistant General Counsel for information technology and information security at Verizon, helping to develop company-wide information security policies and procedures, including data classification and protection, and developing and providing training, education and management programs for employees and vendors. Mr. Pepper has also served as in-house counsel for Oracle Corporation and BEA Systems, negotiating multi-million dollar information technology transactions.
Mr. Pepper is a frequent international speaker on data privacy and security, legal risks of cloud computing, and other technology-based legal issues.
Mr. Pepper earned his bachelor degree from Rutgers University and his law degree Duquesne University School of Law.
