Rachael is a privacy, data protection and technology lawyer, specializing in global privacy and data governance issues. In her current role as Senior Privacy Counsel at Sitecore, a global marketing automation software company based in San Francisco, Rachael is responsible for managing the company’s internal privacy program to ensure compliance with global privacy laws, regulations and various self-regulatory regimes. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, her role also involves advising on and negotiating privacy and security terms in commercial deals, privacy risk management, overseeing employee privacy training and leading privacy awareness initiatives.



Prior to her current role, Rachael has worked as a lawyer in the UK office of an international law firm, an in-house advisor for a government regulator and as in-house counsel for a San Francisco based technology start-up, advising on various data protection, product and corporate matters. Rachael’s experience includes drafting privacy policies and cross-border data transfer agreements, developing organizational privacy training, establishing data governance committees and implementing measures for ongoing privacy management operations such as privacy impact assessments, security incident response protocols and vendor management assessments.



Rachael holds the Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US and CIPP/E) and Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) credentials from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
