About the IAPP

I work for Nokia as Head of Security and Privacy (three business groups). My responsibility areas include Information Security, Privacy, Product Security, Regulatory Security Compliance and ensure risk management in above mentioned domains through gap assessment and program implementation. In my existing role, I am an advisor to the business group COO’s and support the teams in driving security and privacy programs. Prior to working with Nokia, I have worked with companies such as Orange business Services, HCL and Hughes Network Systems to name a few.

On education front, I did my BS in Electronics after finishing high school. During my professional career of more than eighteen years, I also pursued post-graduation in Management and acquired Bachelor of Law degree. Additionally, I have different industry certifications in IT, Project Management, Information Security, Business Continuity and Privacy such as CIPP/US, CIPM, CISSP, CISA, PMP, CBCP, ISO 27001 LA, ISO 22301 LA etc. 



My active interests include working with like-minded people on security and privacy initiatives especially in newer technologies like AI, Machine learning, IOT along with regulations in this space. In my free time, I prefer watching movies, read books, play table tennis and spend time with my family.
