Senior Privacy Analyst

Robyn Mace is the Enterprise Data Privacy Officer for Strategic Technology Solutions at the State of Tennessee. She is entrusted with developing a culture of privacy, conducting Privacy Threshold and Impact Assessments, supporting Privacy and Breach Incident reporting and management, training employees and advising Departments and Agencies on privacy-forward practices.



Dr. Mace previously served as Metro Nashville’s first Chief Data Officer, Performance Data Coordinator for the City of Memphis, and as the first civilian Planning Director for the Jersey City Policy Department. She has decades of experience providing training and technical assistance to state and local government officials. She is a frequent panelist and speaker on a variety of topics related to privacy, security, and information governance.

She has conducted research on a variety of technology and emerging issues ranging from cybercrime and privacy to terrorism, drug markets, counterfeiting, and illicit pesticides. She worked as the lead consultant for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime Comprehensive Study on Cybercrime (2013).



Robyn earned undergraduate and Masters’ degrees from University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and a doctorate from Rutgers University. She earned her Certified Protection Professional designation from the American Society for Industrial Security in 2005.
