Founder

Siarhei is CEO of Data Privacy Office LLC helping businesses outside the EU to comply with European data protection requirements especially regarding cross-border data transfers, legal bases and transparency of processing, embedding privacy into products and cloud services. 

Siarhei moved into the privacy field in Germany in 2015. Whilst working at Allianz SE (Munich) he conducted research on GDPR implications on the information security systems of global insurance companies. He wrote his MBA thesis  on this subject at Bremen University of Applied Sciences in 2016.

Before this he learned the value of privacy first hand by leading pro-democracy NGOs in the context of surveillance and oppression in Belarus. 

Siarhei returned to Belarus where he started the consulting and training company DPO LLC. He helped to implement GDPR as an external program manager and DPO in over 50 companies mostly within the CIS region where he had to regularly overcome uncertainty with regards to local regulation or lack of governance and established business processes. He has been delivering GDPR  training course in Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Cyprus and Belarus since 2017. 

In addition to this Siarhei is a founder of the Russian speaking professional community "DPO Club" and organizes annual GDPR Days in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. He is a leading data protection expert in a human rights organization in Belarus that is lobbying for a new law on personal data. 

Siarhei has promoted privacy at conferences, summits, podcasts, webinars and in numerous articles and interviews.
