About the IAPP

Emily currently serves as Privacy Counsel for all of Match Group’s North American brands at Match’s headquarters in Dallas. Emily attended law school in pursuit of a career in privacy after she became interested in how data was used, exchanged, sold, and stored in her former career. During law school Emily participated in several internships, externships and fellowships related to privacy, including a semester at the IAPP headquarters in Portsmouth, NH. Emily is currently a Certified Information Privacy Professional for the US and EU, and a licensed attorney in Washington D.C. As an active member of the IAPP since 2016, Emily formerly served as a KnoledgeNet chair in the Northern New England Chapter, and currently serves as a KnowledgeNet chair for the Dallas Chapter. Emily earned her Juris Doctor and Certificate in Privacy Law from the University of Maine School of Law and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Maine at Farmington.
