About the IAPP

Evelyne Studer is the Director of Privacy and AI Governance at eBay, and leads the global privacy support for the Product, Ads and Marketing organizations. She also serves in the core team that is shaping AI governance at eBay. Evelyne has been with eBay since 2018, initially based at the company's HQ in San Jose, USA and now based in Switzerland. Prior to joining eBay, Evelyne spent a few years in academia, working as an IP and ICT research assistant at the University of Geneva (UniGE), and as a research fellow at the Center for Information Technology, Society and Law (ITSL), an interdisciplinary research institute in Zurich, Switzerland. Earlier in her career, Evelyne worked as an attorney at a leading Swiss business law firm for over five years.
