About the IAPP

Matt Meinel is a Consultant focusing on data privacy and information governance. He is a licensed attorney (North Carolina) with prior experience as an IT consultant. He helps clients across multiple industries to assess their cross-functional business goals and design innovative solutions to meet privacy and compliance requirements. Matt holds a CIPP-US privacy certification from the IAPP and will sit for the CIPP-E certification in 2020. He graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2013, majoring in history (Honors) and political science and minoring in computer science, and from the University of North Carolina School of Law with a Juris Doctor (Honors) in 2018. After law school, Matt clerked at the North Carolina Supreme Court.
