Tamara E. Kolz Griffin is the Director of and Clinical Instructor at the Estate Planning Project of Harvard Law School while maintaining an active Trusts and Estates private practice.  She is also on the Board of Directors of Directive Communication Systems which provides proprietary online technology to facilitate estate administration by effectuating the wishes of decedents relative to the disposition of digital assets. Ms. Kolz Griffin is a member of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), a nonprofit association of lawyers whose members are elected to the College by demonstrating the highest level of integrity, commitment to the profession, competence, and experience as trust and estate counselors. She has also been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America guide for Trusts and Estates (2014) and by the Massachusetts Super Lawyers magazine as a Rising Star (2006, 2007).



Ms. Kolz Griffin is a frequent speaker before professional and civic groups and on radio and cable television. She has presented at the American Bar Association, American Institute of CPAs, Boston Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Boston Probate Forum, Boston Estate Planning Council, National LGBT Bar Association and various private companies and organizations.



Prior to her current endeavors, Ms. Kolz Griffin was a partner in the Private Wealth Services Section of the Boston office of Holland & Knight, LLP, where she practiced for 15 years. Ms. Kolz Griffin is a summa cum laude graduate of Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science degree, and graduated first in her class from this institution. She earned her Juris Doctor degree cum laude from Harvard Law School, and holds an L.L.M. degree in taxation from Boston University School of Law.
