Grace Harter is an international trade specialist with the Data Flows and Privacy Team at the U.S. International Trade Administration (ITA). Since beginning at the Department of Commerce in 2015, she has focused on privacy and trans-border data flow issues and is a member of both the Safe Harbor and the EU–U.S. Privacy Shield teams. Harter graduated with an MA from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in May 2015 with concentrations in international economics and international development. Before studying at SAIS, she served in the Peace Corps in Ukraine from 2010 until 2012. Harter received her BA in international studies from Washington College in 2010.
