About the IAPP

Iolaire leads the regional consulting practice for Global Financial Services at Amazon Web Services (AWS). He has deep expertise in the use of cloud technology controls to protect customer data, stemming from his previous experience in global banking operational risk and cybersecurity. He has led teams to deliver solutions for customers requirements in the context of EU GDPR, HK PDPO, Singapore PDPA, and other regional data protection laws. Iolaire wrote the regulatory guides for secure and compliant usage of AWS cloud in the context of HK regulations for both banking and insurance industries. 

On a personal level, he has interests in exploring the impact and ethics of using machine learning within society. Also, virtual, and augmented reality, that stuff is cool.

Iolaire has an MBA from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and maintains CISSP and CISA certifications in addition to his status as a FIP.
