Rebecca Davis, CIPP/US
Rebecca H. Davis is Director of Privacy at Walmart, where she supports company innovations involving shopper analytics and customer insights, financial services, health and wellness solutions, human resources, and information technology. Previous roles at Walmart have included providing counsel regarding incident response, data security, vendor management, cloud solutions, mobile technologies, international data transfers, social media, advertising, reputation management; and managing data security and information privacy risks, information governance, and information assurance. Prior to Walmart, Rebecca practiced corporate and securities law at DLA Piper in Phoenix, Arizona.
Before practicing law, Rebecca was a user-interface software designer in Austin, Texas at various startup companies encompassing enterprise software, B2B, B2C, and healthcare solutions. She is a certified information privacy professional (CIPP) and an adjunct professor of privacy law at the University of Arkansas School of Law. Rebecca is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law. She holds an M.F.A. in Poetry from the University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop and a B.A. in English Literature from Vassar College. Rebecca resides in Bentonville, Arkansas with her husband and rescue German Shepherd, and is an avid runner and yogi.
