About the IAPP

Vanessa is a seasoned transactional and privacy & data protection attorney based in Hermosa Beach, California. Having 15 years of both in-house and external counsel experience, Vanessa is passionate about making the law work for businesses and consumers. With California and Illinois bar memberships, Vanessa is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional/US. Vanessa teaches contract drafting and information risk management at the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law and teaches business ethics at the College of Business of California State University, Long Beach. Vanessa received her law degree from the Northwestern University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
