Undine von Diemar, CIPP/E
Undine von Diemar is a partner at Jones Day based in Munich. Her practice focuses on data protection matters, including international data transfers, data breach response, internal investigations, and global compliance projects. She leads Jones Day's European Privacy & Cybersecurity practice, which consists of a team of dedicated privacy lawyers across Jones Day's European offices.
Undine regularly advises on data protection legal issues in M&A transactions and represents clients in proceedings before data protection authorities and courts. Undine has strong IT sector specific expertise, including negotiating high-profile technology transactions related to cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence and supercomputer technologies.

Undine studied law in Potsdam and Berlin. She holds a doctorate degree from the University of Potsdam (summa cum laude, award for best doctoral thesis of law school) and a master of laws (LL.M.) degree from the University of Michigan (supported by scholarships of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Rotary Foundation).
