Rafael Garcia Gozalo
Rafael Garc+¡a Gozalo has served as head of the International Department of the Spanish Data Protection Agency, since June 2008. Before that and between 1995 and 2008, Gozalo worked for the Ministry of the Interior as deputy director of the Asylum and Refugees Office, where he was also responsible for the international relationships of the office.
From 1990 to 1995, Gozalo served as senior adviser to the secretary general for consumers' affairs and to the minister of health and consumers' affairs. A civil servant by career since 1987, he graduated in psychology and political sciences. Gozalo was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1957.
