About the IAPP

Lisette Meij (CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPP/A, CIPM, CIPT and FIP), is the director of Privacy Verified B.V.

While finishing her master’s degree in law with honors at the ‘Vrije Universiteit’ in Amsterdam, she worked on a subsidized research on how Big Data is being used in jurisdiction. After that her passion for privacy was trigged. She started to work at a law firm, ICTRecht B.V., as legal advisor specialized in the legal aspects of privacy and Big Data. Now, seven years later, Lisette supports organizations with implementing the GDPR in her role as director. Her goal is to make sure organizations comply with the law, but always in a practical way. 

For Lisette privacy law is a work field that gives you the possibility to look for new answers and come up with your own creative solutions. “Data is the new science. Big data holds the answers”.
