Kapil is an established, motivated, and reputable legal professional with more than twenty years’ experience in a General Counsel leadership roles, advising on a wide variety of issues in multiple sectors.
Kapil is one of the foremost practitioner in Technology law, AI ethics and AI governance as well as data privacy in Asia Pacific, having spent the majority of his career working in Legal leadership roles at companies at the forefront of innovation in India and Singapore- such as Schlumberger, IBM and Autodesk. He leads industry events as a speaker, discussing artificial intelligence, privacy, data security strategies.
In is current role as Corporate Counsel, India and SAARC, he is part of the India Leadership team at Autodesk India Private Limited. He’s also the Asia Pacific Lead Counsel for both the Data Privacy and Inside Sales legal practice groups at Autodesk
He’s a Fellow, Singapore Institute of Arbitrators and also the Co-Chair of the India Policy Committee at the BSA (Business Software Alliance)- https://www.bsa.org/ (*this is an honorary role). He’s also a Member, MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy.
