Javier Salido is a senior program manager with Microsoft's Trustworthy Computing Group, where he leads a program that evaluates research-level privacy enhancing technologies and seeks to integrate them into commercial products. He is also responsible for developing standards and guidelines for the use of privacy enhancing technologies and their integration into Microsoft's products.



Prior to joining Trustworthy Computing, Salido spent 12 years working with large enterprise and government customers, first as a consultant and later as director of services for Microsoft Consulting in Mexico, Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. A former researcher at the Network Security Laboratory at the University of Washington, Salido holds a BS in electronic engineering from the Universidad Aut+¦noma Metropolitana in Mexico City, an MS degree in electrical engineering from the University of Washington and an MBA from the Foster School of Business, also at the University of Washington.



Salido has published scientific works related to security in wireless networks at multiple IEEE conferences and the journal IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking, and is author of the Data Governance for Privacy, Confidentiality, and Compliance series published by Microsoft Corp. in 2010.
