Brooks Dobbs, CIPP/US
Brooks Dobbs is Chief Privacy officer for KBM Group and Wunderman Data & Insight, where he is responsible for privacy compliance worldwide across member companies. Prior to his current role, Dobbs was the Chief Privacy Officer for behavioral advertising company Phorm and, prior to that, served as the VP of Government Affairs and Data Protection at DoubleClick.
Dobbs is current board member, and former chairman, of the Network Advertising Initiative, online advertising's leading self-regulatory body. Dobbs has done extensive work on industry self-regulation and has assisted in authoring self-regulation or best practices in areas including email marketing, online data collection, behavioral advertising and offline data. Dobbs is an author of the World Wide Web Consortium's Platform for Privacy Preferences Standard and has served as an invited expert to the W3C's Do Not Track working group. He writes and speaks frequently on issues involving online technology and privacy.
