About the IAPP

Linnea Solem is Founder of Solem Risk Partners, LLC a management consulting and advisory services company focused on Third Party Risk Governance, Privacy Program Management, and Enterprise Risk Management. She is a management consulting executive and retired Chief Privacy Officer and Vice President Risk/Compliance at Deluxe Corporation with a cross-functional background with 29 years of experience working in regulated industries. She has over 20+ years of experience working with Executive Management and Audit Committee/Board of Director expectations in service provider relationships.



High-energy and confident, Linnea is a frequent speaker at industry associations, including the International Association of Privacy Professionals and Shared Assessments Program events. She sets vision and direction for organizational readiness for compliance in regulated industries, lines of business, or regulated products and services. Linnea is on the Board of Directors and Governance Committee for Women Venture, a non-profit organization that focuses on enabling women to grow profitable and sustainable businesses with training, micro-lending and advisory services. Women Venture is a Women’s Business Center as designated by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).



Linnea is a former Chair of the Shared Assessments Program Steering Committee and currently serves on the Shared Assessments Program Advisory Board, and currently chairs the Privacy committee.  Linnea has been a key contributor to Program tools including the foundation of the VRMMM and CTPRP programs, and most recently the release of the GDPR Toolkit.



Linnea is designated a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.  She maintains her Certified Privacy Manager Certification(CIP/M); Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US and CIPP/C) for the U.S. and Canada. She is a founding holder of the CTPRP certification for third party risk. She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Capella University; a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota; and a Bank Administration Institute Certificate in Banking Operations and Technology from Vanderbilt University.
