About the IAPP

Irene is Senior Privacy Counsel responsible for managing and developing the strategic direction for the global privacy program. She brings 17+ years of combined international and domestic experience in the areas of Privacy, Risk management and Compliance.   She is the Chair of the Privacy & Data Security Compliance Committee and drives data protection initiatives and education throughout the organization. Irene counsels the business and organization on all aspects of privacy and data protection and has deep experience in the area of EU Data protection Law.  Prior to a career in data protection, Irene spent several years in Internal Audit leading and managing various enterprise risk management projects, (compliance, operational, and strategic projects) across multiple business units.  She also has 4+ years of consulting experience working with a big four firm in both New York and Chicago focused on a wide variety of investigative, compliance and integrity advisory projects.



Irene has an international educational background with a Bachelor of Law degree from University of Kent at Canterbury, UK and a Masters in Corporate and Commercial Law from Queen Mary & Westfield College, University of London, UK.  She is a licensed New York State attorney and since 2013 has obtained three Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) designations from the IAPP.
