Julia Kaufmann is a partner in the Munich office of Baker McKenzie and member of the Global Privacy and Security Team of Baker McKenzie. Julia advises both German and international companies on all legal issues related to information technology, privacy and data protection, marketing, e-commerce, and Internet and media law. She assists multinational companies with a wide range of data protection law issues, in particular development and implementation of comprehensive data protection compliance programs, product-related privacy by design issues, implementation of HR- and security-tolls, cross-border data transfer mechanisms, e-health and m-health projects, inquiries by data protection supervisory authorities, enforcement actions brought by data subjects, security breach handling and high-risk processing activities requiring a data protection impact. She also advises clients on e-commerce compliance projects, marketing activities, software licensing, apps and websites, and IT outsourcing agreements.
