Erik Luysterborg is currently Partner in charge of the IT, E-Commerce and Electronic Financial Services Law Group (ITEC Group) within Deloitte Enterprise Risk Services in Europe. In this capacity, Erik has advised a wide range of international clients with regard to the legal and regulatory implications of national and cross border issues around the provision of financial services and the use of technology in the financial services sector.

Prior to this, he worked as assistant resident counsel in the Legal and Compliance Division of JP Morgan, Brussels office, as operator of the Euroclear System. There, his areas of expertise included EU, US, Belgian and UK banking, securities and IT law. Erik currently acts as one of the main coordinators of the multi-disciplinary Technology Risk task force of Deloitte's Global Financial Services Industry group and is actively involved in coordinating an important number of both local as well as cross-border compliance projects. He is a frequent speaker on electronic financial services risk and compliance issues.
