About the IAPP

Daisy Bennett currently serves as Assistant General Counsel and Data Protection Officer for Marin Software Incorporated. Daisy’s passion for all things privacy began when she joined the security team of large health insurer shortly after graduating law school. Over the last 15 years Daisy has had the opportunity to work with a start-ups and large organizations to develop meaningful and effective privacy programs. As a strategic business partner, Daisy strives to bridge the gap between compliance and business teams to develop legally-sound functional policies and processes that encourage flexibility and financial growth. Daisy is currently a Certified Information Privacy Professional for US and EU, and a licensed attorney in the State of Utah. As an active member of the IAPP, Daisy currently serves as a KnowledgeNet chair for the Austin Chapter of the IAPP. Daisy earned her Juris Doctor and Masters of Public Policy from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California Davis.
