About the IAPP

Teresa specializes in Information Technology Law and in Data Protection. She graduated from the Law School of the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO), holds an LL.M degree in Law and Technology from Tilburg University, The Netherlands and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPT) of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

She practices in Mexico City in the firm Basham, Ringe y Correa, S.C., where she advises international and national clients on all aspects of privacy and data protection. She also has experience on e-commerce issues, cloud computing, social media and IT contracts.

Teresa has published in the Mexican magazine ‘IDC Review’ and in the magazine ‘Managing Intellectual Property’.

She is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and of the Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AMPPI for its acronym in Spanish).
