Bonnie Green, CIPP/US
Bonnie E. Green is the “Chief Ethics Officer” for the United Nations World Food Programme (“WFP”). Green joined WFP in April 2014 and is currently working in WFP’s headquarters in Rome, Italy.
Green formerly worked as Vice-President and Associate General Counsel at Sodexo, Inc., leading the Office of Ethics, Compliance and Privacy from 2005 - 2014. She was also vice-chair of its legal and ethical compliance steering committee and chair of its legal and ethical subcommittee. From 1998 to 2005, Green provided legal advice to several operational divisions and departments in Sodexo, Inc. plus the Sodexo Foundation. Prior to 1998, Green worked as an attorney in a law firm in Washington, DC and for Marriott International, Inc.
Green holds a Juris Doctor from the American University Washington College of Law, a Masters of Arts in International Affairs from The George Washington University School of International Affairs, and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the State University of New York at Binghamton. Green has actively engaged in ethics, compliance and privacy organizations. She is a member of the Maryland and New Jersey Bars and, since 2007, an IAPP Certified International Privacy Professional.
