About the IAPP

Lauren Shy is the Senior Legal Director & Chief Privacy Officer at PepsiCo, Inc. where she supports the Global eCommerce function and manages the global privacy program. Prior to joining PepsiCo in February 2012, Lauren was the Assistant General Counsel at Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, a global corporate immigration law firm. In this role she helped establish the firm's Office of General Counsel and supported various corporate, compliance and regulatory matters including data privacy. 



Lauren is a member of the inaugural IAPP Women Leading Privacy Advisory Board and she holds both the Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and Certified Privacy Program Manager (CIPM) credentials. She is also a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP). Lauren is a past member of the NYC Bar Association Standing Committees on Information Technology Law, Consumer Affairs and Professional Responsibility.She is also frequent speaker on privacy and ethics. 



Lauren received her B.A. from the University of Michigan and her J.D. from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
