Lauren is the founder of BlurryEdge Strategies, a legal and strategy law firm located in San Francisco that advises technology companies and investors on cutting-edge legal and policy issues.  She previously led the Center for Internet and Society at Stanford Law School where she taught classes on privacy and cyberlaw. Prior to that she worked in Washington, D.C. as a cyber-liberties advocate and led the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF)'s office. She sat on the Board of Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility (CPSR), and served on the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) Secure Flight Working Group at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.



Lauren is the Co-Editor of Securing Privacy in the Internet Age and the Author of Privacy, Free Speech and Blurry-Edged Social Network, published by the Boston College Law Review. She received a B.S. in Biology and Society from Cornell University, an M.S. in Science, Technology and Public Policy from The Elliott School, George Washington University, and her law degree from Georgetown University. She is a member of the California Bar.
