About the IAPP

Takeshige (Take) Sugimoto is based in Brussels and specialises in EU Data Protection and EU Competition law.  He regularly assists high-profile Japanese clients in conducting various data protection projects such as data protection audits negotiations with European Data Protection Supervisory Authorities in Binding Corporate Rules applications.  Take holds a Magister Juris (Sasakawa Scholar) from the University of Oxford, a Master of Laws from the University of Chicago Law School and a Bachelor of Law from Keio University. He is admitted to the Bars of Brussels, New York and Japan.
