Jonathan Kok is one of the founding members of RHTLaw Taylor Wessing LLP and the Head of the firm’s Intellectual Property & Technology Practice.
He has been in practice for more than 20 years and has extensive experience representing clients in the Information Technology, Media and Entertainment, Sports and Consumer Merchandise industries on their intellectual property, corporate and commercial transactions. He has been engaged by multinational companies and local companies to advice on their data protection policies; provision of data analysis services; assessment of data risks; use of data centres in various jurisdictions; and jurisdictional sovereignty over data.
Besides advising on data protection and privacy issues, he regularly advises clients on the strategic protection and commercialization of intellectual property rights, including confidentiality of information, and his clients also look to him to advise them on their corporate and commercial transactions.
Jonathan is listed as an expert in his field in Chambers and Partners, World Trademark Review, Asia Legal 500 and Asia Law Profiles, Chambers.
He is an executive committee member of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association – Singapore and a member of the Singapore Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (SDRP) Panel.
