Betsy Broder, Counsel for International Consumer Protection at the Federal Trade Commission, has served in numerous senior positions at the Commission. In her current position, she provides guidance and technical assistance to foreign counterparts on a wide range of privacy and consumer protection issues. As one of the first managers in the FTC’s Division of Privacy and ID Protection, Betsy oversaw the development of the FTC’s identity theft program and directed FTC privacy and data security enforcement cases. She has also served the Criminal Liaison Chief and Attorney Advisor to the Director of the Bureau of Consumer Protection.
