Attorney Advisor

Suzanne S. Wachter is an Attorney Advisor for U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) concentrating on privacy, data, cybersecurity, information technology and eDiscovery. Previously, she served as the Bureau Privacy Officer for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Department of the Interior. Prior to joining the BLM, Suzanne was an active duty Air Force Judge Advocate, and she continues to serve as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force Reserves.  In addition to her stateside assignments, Suzanne has been stationed overseas to multiple locations. Her time overseas includes assignments to the Republic of Korea, the United Kingdom, a deployment to JTF-Guantanamo, and the NATO Communication and Information Systems Group in Belgium. Suzanne received her J.D from Washington University in St. Louis and her B.S in Criminology from Florida State University. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional in U.S. Government (CIPP/G) and a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM).
