About the IAPP

Jon Adams is Senior Lead Product and Privacy Counsel at LinkedIn Corporation. Previously, Jon was an associate in the privacy and technology transactions groups at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati PC in the Bay Area and Sidley Austin LLP in Washington, DC. Earlier in his career, he worked in the Bureau of Consumer Protection at the Federal Trade Commission. 

Jon is a certified information privacy professional (CIPP/E, CIPP/US) and has expertise in building out consumer privacy tools, drafting and implementing privacy and security policies, negotiating data-driven transactions, and advising on privacy and data protection in product development. 

Jon received his J.D. from the University Pennsylvania Law School and his A.B. in History and American Studies from the College of William & Mary.
